Tool tip bug

The tool tips on the bottom of the page (cast, pick pocket,...) flash very fast and are unreadable. Looking in the manual for what each button does provides no pictures associating the button with a function.

Game should provide newbs like me an easy, quick way to determine what each button is for. Tool tips should display AND the manuals should have pictures of each button and the function for reference/study.

    specifically its only the tooltips on the main game action bar. where you have attack buttons or open containers. it only seems to happen after the first combat occurs, might have to do with changing areas.
    anyways... the tooltips open, then close, and open again on an infininte loop so fast i cant read them. ideas?

    Get a stable hand, or hold tab while mousing over things.

    I can assure you my hand was steady. And the tool tips worked fine on the buttons on the side. Something is wrong with the graphic system when I get to the bottom of the page.

    This is the button you're looking for.

    And the weird tooltip thing is happening to me too, but only when I try picking stuff up from the ground.

    You mean that scroll that pops up whenever you hover your cursor above an item? If so, I have the exact same problem. Might a reinstall do the trick? Because it's annoying to have to reload the game constantly just to check what items were dropped...

    Yup, same problem here. It's definitely a bug, because I've been playing since launch and only have this problem since the latest patches. Usually it works well for a couple moments, but then it bugs out like the OP explained. It's solved by changing areas and reloading the game, but only for a couple moments.

    It might also be good to mention that when this bug happens, the cursor is that circle with a diagonal line in it, instead of the normal hand you usually have.

    What is your tooltip delay set to?

    I can't check it now (at work), but I can tell you I haven't changed anything. So vanilla?

    Okay, this may be a bit too soon to say, but I've just reinstalled BG:EE and played a few moments to check out if it solved the problem, and it might did the trick. When I find the time to play more than a couple moments I'll report back to tell you if it actually solved the problem. So you might try the same, OP
