Saving Gorion

This is something I have always wanted to do. The years of feeling powerless and frustrated because of not being able to save the old man and change the story are still haunting me. I have reloaded, changed dialogue, cast spells, scourged the area... nothing helped.
Will it ever happen? Will there be a mod for this? Do you people share my pain???
GORION NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh, it's you, Imoen. It's you. Heya.
Damn you dispel magic!
"BUT" Im sure the modders can make say a seperate game like what the devs did for Black Pits, make an alternative sub game if Gorion won and we can see an alternate play and see what Faerun would be like if Sarevok didnt win. its like that Scarface game to point out, if Tony Montana did know about the assassin who shot him in the back, how would things play out then? Thats the point of the Scarface game. To see what it be like if he lived and you go back for revenge on Sosa. Though cannonly the movie did say he was killed as thats how the movie protrays to everyone to remind you to never stab your allies/friends in the back as they can stab you back!
It would make things see a different approach if Gorion won. Would be nice to see. But far as I am aware, you cant change nor mod things that are strictly hardcoded to a game. Many modders have tried. But when its hardcoded, you simply have to move on. It just cant be tweaked or it could break the engine itself. It would have to be a seperate game altogether which Id be interested in seeing happening. It is a possibility.
Mod idea: Gorion survives by mazing Sarevok or teleporting away; joins your party together with Khalid and Jaheira and takes you to Baldur's Gate. Then you could investigate the Iron Throne and be on the offensive and face Sarevok in either the Iron Throne building with Reiltar or in the undercity with Daveorn, and maybe some others (Tranzig, Ogre Mage Assassins, army of doppelgangers).
The only problem I see is having a plausible way for the PC to get enough XP to have a balanced party with high lvl Gorion.
Because of the hardcoding, you could instead make a mod to ressurect Gorion back, but the cinematic is hardcoded and cant be changed. Thats the point fo hardcoding in game engines. You just cant tamper with that part or it can cause major issues on the game itself. Its meant to be performed that way and the devs lock that part out.
There is nothing wrong with making a mod to bring him back from the dead, its a nice idea and for Ikmac making Elminster join sounds interesting too. Im sure many agree would choose to bring him back, but there are just some things within a game that no matter hwo smart and technical a modder is, even the devs have said, You just cant alter the hardcode for the engines sake. It can cause crazy things to happen even with patches and addons from other modders!"
You are basically asking everyone to waste their time and to change all their mods to just be able to work with this which they put too much time into making them work with other peoples mods and its an neverending battle with them all. Look at BWP, Too many mods conflict with each other and you can only put so many mods into the game before issues clash.
This should just be a personal mod for you and you alone. I wouldnt personally mess with the game that much to change the game completely because lets use FF7 for example, Everyone wanted Aerith(Japan) Aeris(USA) to live. But they decided it was better she dies off to fit the story more to stop Black Materia from destroying the world and for her death would activate White Materia and the Lifestream to stop it. Even the gameshark code of hers to bring her back had issues and complications with her being in parts of the game she wasnt supposed to be in. Its basically like that happening. It just isnt exactly a good idea to mess completely with a developers work like that. Same went with the Sephiroth in your party code.
Personally, this is a mod I see for someones own tweaking or making a mod that isnt reflecting the cinematics which I guarantee are hardcoded. I am in no obligation to stop anyone from a ressurecting mod. But changing the cinematic i believe just cant happen. Im not saying its impossible, but hardcodes are not codes to be messed with. Just like forcing to update your driver can cause computer breaking and unnatural issues to the computer and crash it if not done right. This is too much of a mod and im sure the modders of many other mods already have enough of a time getting mods to work with BWS and cant afford another massive game changing mod again.
No offense to yas. But this is just not something we should be experiencing. I suggest making it a aftermath mod. Somewhere down the road you find someone willing to bring him back. The battle is hardcoded for Gorion to lose no matter what!
For Elminsters part, in encounters with the ingame Elminster, you could have him refer to himself as "the REAL Elminster", call the other Elminster a phony douchebag and try to pick arguments with him.
