Archer kit doesn't get charm animal ability

This should be listed in the kit description disadvantages.

    I think they're supposed to get Charm Animal though

    EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure. Did the original Archer description in BG2 mention that they can't charm animals? I don't really see a reason why they shouldn't.

    The BG2 manual description doesn't say so neither.
    IMO the Archer already got enough advantages (5+ in any ranged weapon *giev* and the crazy +dam/thac0 boost) to negate the fact, to not being able to charm some minor pets :)

    Special Abilities: Bonuses when using missile weapons. Called shots.

    Could you add that Archers can't use Charm Animal to their description?

    The description was just copied from the BG2 PDF..haven't changed anything ^^

    (if it helps in any form: Archers denied their ties to the nature, but focused instead to wear down their enemies by brute force and focus on their skill on the given ranged weapon. But it's more a mixture of all rules from 2nd up to 3.5 edition.. so it's just conform to not have 'charm animal' ...in later Ed. they get even more insane stuff ^^)
