Can some1 explain to me how to rescue him without taking a 19 reputation hit from killing flaming fist guys?
Coz it seems to me than a good Charname would go directly to his rescue after learning his location, sadly killin the flaming fist merc's who assaults me without a moments notice, costs me all me rep :S
do i really HAVE to go to the Iron throne first? or skip him?

    Invisibility 10' is your friend....

    Mercs didn't cost me reputation to kill, so all I lost was 3 rep from the door-guy. But yeah, invisibility is your friend.

    You can charm Benjy as soon as enter and no one will attack. It's a bug that didn't occur in the original. Feel free to use Algernon's Cloak without feeling guilty.

    If your thief is strong enough to carry him, it's a simple stealth mission. The Flaming Fist compound isn't a new zone, it's an ordinary building. You don't need to move your whole party inside. My party happened to be drinking in a nearby tavern while my PC F/T easily sneaked past the Fist, backstabbed the Duke's faux-healer, and sneaked back out the way he came.

    Supposedly the new patch fixed reputation loss for "fighting certain characters". So perhaps it has been fixed.

    hmm never thought of the invisibility tend not to use it, as it feels a bit to good in BgEE:), but ill give it a go soon, my next toon is Fighter-thief or Kensai-Thief Multiclass havent decided yet :)

    I used invisibility 10 radius, but I think the latest patch fixed this as elminster mentioned.
