Neera Won't talk to me

Hello,

As the title implies i cannot recrute Neera to my party.

How it happened: I found Neera and helped her, at the end she asked me to join my party and i refused... she said to meet her at the inn if i needed her and now she won't talk to me.

I feel this has high relevance since it cuts out a feature of the game instead of being a small imbalance, please take it into consideration before discarting a fix, thank you...

    Current behaviour:
    After the battle in Beregost, Neera doesn't talk to me. The message "Neera has nothing to say to you" (similar to what cows say) appears when initiating a conversation.

    Expected behaviour:
    A simple "thank you" would have been nice :)
    Saving after battle & loading seems to fix the problem.

    I've got that bug when she's in the friendly arm inn and I have refused her help in the first time.

    Current:

    I walked around and kinda rushed a bit and went from CK to FAI then Bergost and Nashkel triggering Chapter 2
    there i recruited Edwin. Now i figured i have to find Dorn and Nera and discovered nera back in Bergost a dialog triggered and the events unfolded. Edwin pulled ranks on the remaining guards and they left. now when i try to talk to Nera she has nothing to say to me

    EDIT: Nera made the leading wizard dissapere. Edwin took care of the other wizard but the guards is still there

    Expected ?:

    I Guess she should have thanked me and asked me to join here in hunting them down or help here Escape ?

    Looks like a bug.

    After you side with Neera, she should talk to you.

    ok Guess i was right. I dont know if you want some more info like i said i kinda rushed so i migth be the Chapter or something else

    i Play a Neutral Evil bard 17 charisma
    havent rly done any quest up til now except the once in candelkeep and the ring quest in FAI

    @Coriander

    It might be Edwin's presence that is causing the glitch. With him in the party he convinces the other guys to leave so there is no fight.

    yes thats what happend and the two guards the wizard had With him is just standing there as well having nothing to say

    After the event with Edwin in your party it happens very often, that Neera won't talk to you (happened 6/10 times, tried it 10 times to reproduce), also the guards won't leave, as the mage does.

    I have no trouble with this. I went to talk to Neera and she start talking.

    I made some tweaks that will hopefully deal with these issues for the next patch.

    Well, here's the specifics of what happened in my case:
    I was planning to assemble my "preferred" party for this run as soon as possible, which includes Neera.
    I just got Imoen, Xzar and Montaron, Khalid and Jaheira as temporary party members and went to Beregost right after picking up Khalid & Jaheira at the FAI. That's pretty much all I did thus far. I intended to take Dorn too, but apparently he doesn't want to join just yet?

    So here I am at Beregost. Neera runs up to me, asking for help. The kind - and evil - person I am, I of course agree to listen. 2 red wizards enter the scene, together with 2 guards.
    Neera does her thing, and the main wizard vanishes. The cutscene ends, and I got to attack the remaining wizard and the 2 guards. After that's done, I try talking to Neera, but she doesn't have anything to say to me.

    I save the game, and load that save. As soon as the game's loaded, Neera initiates the conversation herself and she gets to join my party.

    I've also tried kicking Imoen out of the party to see if Neera wants to join a 5-men party, but that didn't help.

    I can mail you 2 save files (before & after) if that could help.

    This is happening to me as well. Except I said she could join, but then did the remove dialog because I wanted to stick with Xzar and Montaron a bit longer. I went back to FAI and all I get is "Neera has nothing to say to you." She said she'd be there if I "wished to apologize," but apparently she didn't mean it :p. Is Neera permanently closed as a character now?

    Having the exact same issue now, I helped her in Beregost and then told her I didn't want to help her (as I was planning on using other characters a while longer) she said I should go to the FAI and speak with her.
    Now she says nothing to me.

    Same here... After declining her the first time so i could clear the inventory on Dyna i now find myself unable to talk to her...

    Really disappointed, have been searching her for hours and now i don't have any saves close :(

    I had the same thing, without Edwin in the party. Reloaded it and tried over and over to reproduce. As far as I saw when I tried it, if Neera doesn't manage to land a hit on any of the guards then she doesn't talk to you - so if you kill them too quickly then she seems to extract her revenge and blanks you...

    And for me story went like this. At my 1st siding with Neera in Beregos I didn't add her to group, she said that she'll be in UHH waitn for me. Yes great she's there but I got only from her "Neera - has nothing to say.". Any solution?(sorry for my eng)

    This is the exact same situation and the exact same behavior I experienced.

    Currently, I can not talk to Neera. She is standing in the Friendly Arm Inn but when I go talk to her, the red text notifies me she has nothing to say to me. I've kicked out people in my party to see if that would change anything but it stays the same.

    The first time I met Neera, I did not recruit her as I had 6 members I wanted to keep at that time. Then she said she would be at the Friendly Arm Inn and I can't do anything with her now.

    Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    I have the same situation - I originally sided with Neera, then said I didn't want her in the party immediately. She told me to meet her at the FAA, which I have now done but it simply says 'Neera has nothing to say to you' and I cannot add her to the party.

    I have installed the latest patch btw, but that doesn't help. Assistance much appreciated.

    I've just checked and I can add Dorn to my party, so it appers to be only Neera that the problem is with (for me at least)

    Yep.

    I'll bump this thread in hopes this can be addressed next patch :)

    I'm currently on hold so i can take her with me... :(

    Same here. Neera at FAI has nothing to say to me and I really want to recruit her before exploring anymore! Dorn is there as well as some other NPCs I was previously using and all will converse and join again.

    Same here... I think I turned her down the first time and now when I changed my mind and went back to the inn she "has nothing to say". Serves me right for being rude the first time I guess...
