[Request]I'm jealous of Edwin's necklace, perhaps it could be changed somehow?

That bastard. Always kept me from making a dedicated arcanist without being a sorcerer or, at least, a wild mage. I wonder if there's a better way to handle Edwin's position as a Red Wizard without making him a wizard that can easily compete with a experienced and cheesy sorcerer. Perhaps incurring a second spell school limitation to his spellbook?

Note to self: Why have you never given Edwin the girdle in BG1?
And, obviously, after the first time you wore the Girdle of Plastic Surgery without identifying it, no doubt saying to yourself 'what's the worst that could happen', you developed a trauma that forever makes you snap out of it when reaching the Friendly Arm Inn, only returning to reality after the aforementioned Girdle is somehow destroyed in ways that no sane mind has ever found in the game.
Whew, I'm overly verbose today.
''but i think his necklace should at least look special not just look like some lame ass 15 gold piece necklace''
Ditto I was just gonna write that. I'd like them to change the design of the necklace and make it look cool. Agree with everything else you said.
Why Edwin is balanced and shoud not be changed:
1° - Edwin is the only pure mage joinable on the game.
2° - He's Evil what will make any non evil party that take him to absent 19+ reputation.
3° - Edwin, Viconia, Koragan and Sarevok are the only evil joinable NPCs, so a pure evil party will always lack 1 vacancy on the party (except for fan mod NPCs, but we're talking of official content here).
4° - By use the necklace slot, he's kept from use the Circlet of Netheril.
5° - Edwin is unplayable with Minsc or Keldorn on the party, which severely limit a creation of a good based party, resuming the tanks to Jaheira, Valygar, Mazzy or Anomen (he's a tank even being a priest), or make you dirt the party more by putting Korgan (another evil character).
Besides, he's one of the coolest characters in the game. By the Game original concept, he's a balanced character.
