Since a discussion on adding Eastern weapons is already ongoing, I thought I'd add a few more items that help bridge the BG-to-BG2 gap. As the author of BG2 Tweaks (which also works for Tutu), the EE folks are more than welcome to use these if they so desire:
Exotic Items Pack - This component adds a handful of weapons and items available in Baldur's Gate II and scatters them throughout stores, creatures, and containers in the Baldur's Gate portion of the game. Items include katanas, wakizashis, scimitars, ninja-tos, bags/quivers of plenty, ioun stones, and a handful of spell scrolls. However, please note that the items have been placed with an eye towards balance and likelihood that they would be on the Sword Coast at all. The exceptions are scimitars, which are definitely less exotic than the other items and hence more plentiful.
Spoilers: To give an idea of how conservative I was with this component, there are three total katanas added--one nonmagical one in an optional fight at the Firewine bridge, a +2 katana (but cursed) in the Cloudpeaks, and a +1 katana with Tomoko right before you face Sarevok in the finale.
Reveal City Maps - In Baldur's Gate II, city maps were revealed as soon as you entered the area. This component will reveal the maps of Baldur's Gate, Nashkel, Beregost, Candlekeep, and (if Tales of the Sword Coast is installed) Ulgoth's Beard. This tweak is not available for Baldur's Gate Trilogy as it contains this functionality by default.
Add Map Notes - This component will add map notes to many Baldur's Gate areas throughout the game, including some wilderness areas. This process is done interactively, so no areas are overwritten. This tweak is not available for Baldur's Gate Trilogy as it contains this functionality by default.
Consistent Stats: Edwin, Jaheira, Minsc, Viconia - These four characters have better stats in BG2 than they do in BG--Edwin +1 WIS, +1 STR, Jaheira +3 DEX, Minsc +1 DEX +1 CON, and Viconia +3 WIS.
Personally, I'd highly recommend map notes and the exotic item pack (though the ioun stones and bags/quivers could be discarded with no loss). I personally would not include Reveal City Maps and Consistent Stats, but I thought I'd at least throw them out there for discussion.
