I think I screwed it up... or not?

1 - I killed the Iron Thrones Chiefs inside the library in Candlekeep, I ran by the catacombs, got back to Baldur's Gate and I surrendered. I ran with the help of that crazy murderer, now every patrol on the city attack me on sight... It's supposed to happen?

2 - I'm poisoned by Lothander, and the Diviner told me to go to the Water Queen's Home. The point is that I killed everyone on a previous quest, and there's nothing left... This poison is real?

    1. Yes, all the guards will attack you from this moment forward - and killing them will result in reputation loss - so don't kill them! Use hold person to hold them, or charm them and send them in a corner you know you'll never visit!

    2. The poison is real, and after around 10 days it should trigger a message. Further down the road, sleeping will result in permanent death. Now, you possibly killed the Priestess on the quest which is related to a child, correct? The Priestess should have had a scroll on her anyway, a "Geas Removal scroll" - it is a quest item so I believe it shouldn't just disappear randomly. If you killed her, chances are that the scroll is still there (I believe).

If not, please do post another message and we'll sort it out, through console if needed (while I dislike doing it, I screwed myself up for that quest once myself, so I feel your pain)

Ok, I'm really sure that i dropped the scroll somwhere that I will never remeber... Old save? Or there's an option? There's someone who I kill and drop this antidote?

@agentmulder : sadly the guy that you're supposed to kill won't be there unless you helped the Lothander guy first. It's kind of a bad thing overall... maybe they should slightly change the quest with a patch and make this guy always available so that players don't have an unsolvable game.

Have you checked the floors of the stores you've visited? For some reason, players worldwide drop such things as scrolls and whatnot in their close proximity (and hopefully not someplace in the wilderness)

Otherwise, reloading prior to talking to Lothander in the central section of Baldur's Gate should prevent the poisoning (it's not when you talk to Marek, the guy that poisons you, that triggers it if I am not mistaken).

If all else fails, I'll search for the code to recreate the geas removal scroll, with it, you should be able to speak to Lothander and get the location to the cure.

Ty, I will search for it a bit :) . I'm afraid I dropped it when I went to the werewolf area, but I may be mistaken...

@agentmulder If you have killed the priestesses and can not find the geas scroll then do not fret. Just go talk to Lothander.

@Cheesebelly Quest has been changed to reflect his exact action :)

@Balquo : that's pretty gosh darn cool! The entire thing was quite harsh to begin with really! Hopefully now agentmulder will be able to enjoy the game... with pesky Flaming Fist Mercs or without XD

Another question... When I load my game, sometimes most quests seems to be gone... It's a bug? Or I must click on something?

Or the new Gold Digger, a Two handed Sword +4 (lose 10g per hit, pocketchange imo) from a vendor in, I think, the first section of Baldur's Gate. It's one of my new fav weapons, and if I'm not mistaken, the highest dmg-dealing one in the game.

@Zanian Really? A +4 Two-handed sword? That's pretty cool. Any other new badass weapons you know about?
  • ZanianZanian Member Posts: 332
@Seran there's an entire thread somewhere that lists all the new items in EE. My personal fav is probably the Stupifier. A mace with a 25% chance to stun, and you already get it in Beregost.

Since everyone is so cool, last me abuse you a little. I have 60k gold and no idea where to spend. Any hot shops or tips to where may I use it?

@agentmulder Thalantyr in High Edge is always a good place for some pretty strong stuff early if you've got a mage.
