Make the fight with [spoiler] a real showdown

Bodhi.

This may well be another out-of-bounds idea for Overhaul, so the worth in mentioning it is dubious, but I'm interested in what others think nonetheless.

You can recruit quite a few factions to battle her, more than I even realised (was just reading a walkthrough, here that details this). Yet the battle is a joke even without help, unless you have somehow ambled through this much of the game without knowing what you're doing. I wouldn't mind an opposing force and a bigger 'base' than how it is currently portrayed, where recruits are actually very desirable.

Plus she has an unwarranted amount of exp, enough to make her override anything else in a characters' 'toughest kill' list. This comes under an idea that was mentioned by @HeroicSpur on the beamdog forums (reform the out-of-kilter exp giveouts ), don't think he migrated it over to this forum...

As cool as it is to be able to fight along Drizz't and all the rest, I usually just don't hire any of the "allies" for this battle. The AI enhancements I use do make enemies (and specifically vampires) considerably harder, but as I'm not sure what type of (if any) enemy AI enhancements they're considering for the game, I'd have to agree that this battle could use an overhaul.

The most interesting part of the encounter is the 'Vampiric Touch' quest, as it really strikes hard at your group. I prefer to think of Bodhi that way - meddling and manipulating from the shadows. If only there were a few more things like that that she could do when you are on your way to kill her. That would be cool :)

i think the reason why she gives out that much experience is because that is the 3rd time you fight her and its supposed to be more of an acompishment sort of thing, but i agree that she doesnt hold up to that xp amount, i bet dollars to doughnuts and dragon could whipe her out, even the shadow dragon which only gives you half of her amount, so maybe they should amp up her difficulty because once you dip the holy water into that pool she is as good as mince meat, and you already get 110 000 xp per character for staking her and getting the lathorn, so they definately need to do a bodhi overhaul

I agree, that fight is kind of silly, especially after its premise :

A bloodthirsty exiled elf turned undead, with the soul of a god, is being battled by the children of that particular god in a battle which could define the outcome of the living beings as we know them.

That sounds kind of epic. Too bad that a weapon as simple to get as Daystar can instantly slay her.

I for one believe Bodhi's fight should be along the Sendai level of epicness. As in, you think you foiled her but she shows a trick up her sleeve. Maybe herself transforming into a Slayer, or maybe recalling other powers of Bhaal himself. A few spells would also make the battle intriguing.

Why would you not enlist some of your allies...last time I left drizzt and his group get wiped out...they all died and I had sweetes off muahahahaha's. While I was safly in the shadows, waiting and eating snacks :D it was very rewarding whn playing as evil char. (chaotic neutral) It is acually the only time in game i felt rewarding being evil without LET ALL KNOW I AM EVIL AND I AM PROUD OF IT! Also I didnt loose reputation point...all good. Best evil is in their face and foooools dont even know about..rather than Tauron SMASH evil. One thing about BG and forgotten realms and generally RP games these days are forcing you do stupid tings for evil sake.
