Minsc does not go berserk when Dymaheir dies

So, I recently confirmed that in the original, Minsc would immediately go berserk if dynaheir dies while they are both in your party. I usually have to cope with this as I like minsc but hate dynaheir so I kill her off as soon as I get her. You can dump her from the party when she is dead and still keep Minsc. I used to have to seperate Minsc from the party before I would send Dynaheir to go face some gnolls with just her fists because he would go berserk. This does not seem to be the case anymore.

I have played through the Gnoll Stronghold three times now with Minsc in the party and doing this trick to keep him and get rid of Dynaheir. None of these times (2 single player, 1 multiplayer with a friend) did Minsc go berserk. Is this a change that was made purposefully or an accident? This is not a game breaker by any stretch of the imagination but if it is a legitimate bug, I felt I should bring it up so that it can, eventually, get fixed.

I played through the original series once a year since it came out in 1998 and now my little brother gets to experience the awesomeness of the Sword Coast with me.
