[O] Prevent Auto-teleportation during dialogue

This only really applies to two moments in the game, I believe- Brage and the Candlekeep book- but I find them very jarring and heavy-handed transitions and have always hated them. I mean, I get used to the travel risks and pace, so I think I can handle finding the Temple of Helm in Nashkell and my lifelong home fairly handily on my own. And what if I want to take my time getting there because some other roleplaying issue is more on my mind that would've otherwise diverted me elsewhere? The Candlekeep teleport is the most annoying because you have no time to rest first or go buy provisions or get them from a stash point first. Instead you're just there, and now have to leave again. Maybe there's some scripting issue I'm unaware of that requires those encounters to force-teleport the party, but I'd rather it just set a variable that causes a new chapter upon arriving at Candlekeep or causes the Brage teleport and transition to occur only upon actually clicking the Nashkell Temple entrance after gathering the party and venturing forth.

This is one in a series of game features I'd like added in a separate settings section called Advanced Options that would be available in a new "Advanced Options" Tab on the regular Settings Screen. It would be entirely optional to even peruse it, clearly designated as "Advanced" (even throwing in "Intended for more experienced players only" if that's deemed necessary). It would mean an in-game tweaking mechanism that would no longer require a mod.

I would put advanced options in the BGConfig file, where you set graphics settings etc. At the start of the character it gives the impression that players should be picking some options.

Well, there's the issue that you're supposed to bring Brage all the way up to Nashkel, no? Generally you don't expect posessed people to voluntarily go to the Church, Brage might get crazy at any moment.

So that would take him becoming something that I don't remember seeing in all of Baldur's Gate - a 'charmed' npc that follow you through screen transitions. Further, I'd also add that if you don't go to Nashkel right away (under a certain, rather strict, timer) he goes hostile.

Don't you get his sword when you convince him to go? Damn, I don't recall. I thought he just foists it on you because your correct answer impresses him enough, and, reeling from the loss he's incurred and exacted due to possession of it, he runs off to Nashkell to repent and seek whatever from Helm... which doesn't require me to accompany him. Regardless, that you don't auto-teleport by failing his riddle (or whatever) is irrelevant to the point: you're just whisked away to the Helm Temple instantly by merely answering a particular way. It's one of a very few such jarring episodes in all of BG, and it stands out like a rotten onion to me. Again- as I say above- the cutscene is just fine, but let it be when I enter the Temple myself, not as part of an involuntary auto-transition...

And really the Candlekeep auto-teleport is the worst one.

Oh, if he just says "I'm running to the Temple now!" and then he goes, then I don't see any issues, really.
