Help recalling a particular quest in either BG1 or BG2, I think its BG2

Hey there,

I played BG1 ages ago and completed it and just started on BG2 again after not having played it for some years. But is it my mind playing tricks on me, or is there a quest in BG2 that involves arriving in an area where people are randomly polymorphed into orcs etc so that any newcomers that comes into the area attacks them downright.

After fighting through that area you pass through a lot, and a mean a lot of corridors with mobs here, there and everywhere and finally when you get to the bottom there is a dragon behind it all.

I recall that quest being BG2 related since that was the point I quit at last time. But am I right, or is that quest actually a part of the BG1, even if I can't recall seeing it in the BG1, unless its in Tales of the Sword Coast expansion?

Thats in BG2. Go to the Windspear Hills.

I almost quit there too, but instead I developed some good home-brewed cheese, crisp and flavourful. Didn't understand that it wasn't meant to die straight out of Chateau Irenicus, but I saw me a dragon and by gum it was going down.

It's Windspear Hills in BG2, but there's nothing random about it
The quest also starts in the Copper Coronet. Talk to Firkraag

The comment about it being random was that I just remembered arriving there and bam, ie that noone had told me about it :). But guess I was wrong

You have to talk to Firkraag to be able to go there.

It isn't random but you aren't told to expect that either.

You are lured there under false pretences and set up by your enemy so it is no surprise that you get blind-sided given that scenario.
