*Spoilers* When to do TOSC sections?

Hey guys.

It's been a while since I played BG1, I have just entered Baldurs gate for the first time, When is the point of no return, and when should I do Durlaq's tower and the werewolf island?

There's no point of no return, you can backtrack even from the final boss site.

With a Divine magic using Charname I tend to do upper level 2 of Durlag's as soon as my party can handle the danger to actually get inside, it's fairly safe and you can grab the tome.

For most of the content, I'd say after Candlekeep is a good point if you haven't explored everywhere and done everything early game (my usual habit), around level 6-7 as the starting point, heading through the Shandy dungeon, Werewolf Island, and finally Durlag's.

If you levelled a bit faster, however, doing it as soon as you finish Cloakwood is also very viable.

When you have a thief with 100 find traps and 100 open locks. So probably when your party thief is 7 or 8.

Hmmm, I forgot what was what, not having played it for many years, and am doing it before touching Cloakwood or BG. It is possible, although challenging.

I sometimes do the Ice caverns in ch5, but I usually save Durlags tower as the crowning moment of awesome right at the end of the game.

Sometimes I do werewolf island before hand, but sometimes I skip it completely because it is very unrewarding.

    - Ice island can be done fairly early. It's not that hard.

    - Werewolf island can be done early too, HOWEVER i would recommend having a different save file before you go there. If you are too low or dont have good gear you might get stuck at Karoug and then you will come to the forums crying "NERF KAROUG!!!"

    - Durlag's Tower can be done as soon as you have a thief with around 90-100% find traps. Open locks is not that necessary since you can always use the Knock spell, or use a Potion of Master Thievery.
