BG2 game problem

ok finally finished bgee ( i restart anew if i die) so now i installed my old BG2 SOA and TOB but when i try to start a game i can not find my saved character from BGEE either as a saved final game or as an exported saved character file. I even replayed the final battle to let the game resave itself after i had installed BG2 to no avail. Is there something special i should have done with the install of BG2 so it woudl pick up the game from BGEE?

    Well the characters get exported to a different location to where they can be imported into bg2, so you have to copy the files into the appropriate folders.

    Also, I don't think importing your bgee character into bg2 original is an officially supported feature. It might still be possible though (as long as you didn't pick blackguard as a class)

    ty problem is i thought of the copy but i can not find a file to copy them into i even just made a test game in bg2 and saved it to see if they created a saved game file someplace. I did go looking into the black isle folders and can not find a saved game file there either.

    Character from BG:EE are exported to your /Documents/Baldur's Gatte Enhanced Edition/Characters/ folder.
    You can copy the files into the Characters folder in your BG2 directory.
