Can't get to Nashkel mines

I've got a problem getting to nashkel mines. My 'important quest' got stuck at meeting with Jaheira and Khalid at the Friendly Arms inn. I met them, and they gave me the assignment to go to Naskel. They joined my party and i've cleared all of the maps surrounding Friendly Arms inn and Beregost with their help.
The Important quest still says that I will have to meet with Jaheira and Khalid so Nashkel is not available for me.
Please, help me!

You shouldn't need to even speak to Khalid or Jaheira to go to Nashkel and continue the main questline. If you look closely on your map, if the Nashkel and Carnival areas are "greyed" out(or, beiged I should say) it means you have yet to actually unlock that area.

Unlocking an area is done through exploring, you need to exit an area that is "connected" to the Nashkel map, generally, most players do this by traveling south from Beregost. From the first area south of Beregost you again travel south to unlock another area. Once you travel south from that area, Nashkel is unlocked.

That's the way almost all travel works in BG1(and by extension, BG:EE). You need to actually physically travel to each area once(with a very few exceptions) before you can go there at will. Once you've actually unlocked an area such that it shines blue or has clear black borders, you can then travel there from anywhere for the rest of the game.

Thank you very much! I thought i already tried to leave Beregost from the south, which i thought didn't work. I found a place to cross now. Feeling a bit stupid..........

How I envy you Sannkys, every time I play a tremendous game I wish I could erase my memory of it and replay it again fresh.
