Win7 laptop with GeForce Optimus overheat

Hello,
I successfuly installed BG:EE today and after spending some times figuring out how to enable my GeForce GT 540M using NVIDIA Optimus panel, I managed to run the game smoothly (before was using the integrated chip and it was very slow).

Here the problem: after 10 minutes the laptop just turns off and my guess is that temperature goes up and the system shut down. The case becomes very hot. I need to wait a little bit before turn it on again. Any clues?

My laptop is:
Acer Aspire 5742G
Intel Core i5-480M
8Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 1GB RAM
Window 7 Home
