first trip into Bereghost everything was fine. I left killed some hobgoblins, accumulated some treasure and went back to Bereghost. Went to the Smithy and it's empty, there's no one at all in there.

I went out and back in, same thing. I left the area, and came back in and still empty.

I don't remember much about vanilla BG but I am sure that the Smithy is not supposed to be empty.
