Portrait sources

I've seen plenty of rather impressive custom portraits in your screenshots, but hardly ever has a source for them been brought up. I'd love for some of that stuff too, after all.

Could you post some good places to get them from? Preferably in the correct size, so I won't have to mess around with image resizers.

I generally browse through fantasy works on Deviantart.com looking for inspiration, or conduct searches when I have a character concept in mind. After that it's a simple matter to crop the image to the appropriate size in Paint.

I have found that Magic: The Gathering has some exceptional art work on it's cards. I tend to raid my old cards (yes, I'm a nerd) for ideas and then find the right image online. A bit of cropping later and it's in my game.

Only some are made by me (and of course the postwork of the others).. full credits (in case known) are below the pic-section and are always updated as soon as I know the original artist ..
