Saving Minsc

Apparently Minsc is on a timetable to find Dynaheir. I just finished the Bandit Keep when he freaks out on me! I could not reason with him, so I left that game and went back to an earlier saved game to try to get Dynaheir earlier. The trouble is the movie that introduces you to the Gnoll stronghold is gone, so I do not have a way to access where Dynaheir is in order to save her! Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions? I would like to keep Minsc, but if he is just going to freak out no matter what, I will play without him. I don't want him going berserk on my team. Thanks for the help!

    You should be able to power your way to the Gnoll Stronghold in the southwest corner of the map, unless you're saying that the zone literally will not load. If that's the case... that sounds awful. You might try dropping Minsc from the party and bringing him back in, or killing him and then resurrecting him to see if he will forget his mission.

    Is it that you can't get it to appear on your map? On the mountain zone just NE of the Gnoll Stronghold, you can find a gnoll on the NW corner who will tell you where it is.

    I rescued Dynaheir without Edwin or Minsc because I wanted to see Edwin squirm and I didn't want to use Minsc.

    Thank you both! I thought I had to see the area movie (apparently dropped in BG-EE) before I could get Dynaheir, since it showed you where she was being held. I went down into the pits anyway (even though it looks like nothing is there), and I found her. Minsc (and Boo) is happy now, and so am I. :)

    And now you just have to point her in the correct direction to be turned to stone!

    Boo turns into a level 23 Demon with AC-23 and a THAC0 of -20 and 13 APR, Damage 1d100 + 100 should anything happen to either Minsc or Dynaheir.

    dam now i want to go back and have him freakout so i could kill him and see the mighty Boo transform
