impressed with EE's hi-res graphics at 1920 x 1080

Santa brought me a new 27" monitor today. My old 22" monitor had been gradually giving up the ghost for weeks, I'm amazed it lasted until today. The old Viewsonic monitor's highest resolution was 1680 x 1050.

Good golly, what a difference in the game's visual appearance with this Samsung's 1920 x 1080 native resolution. I guess viewing the game now on a 27" screen is undeniably a major factor. But I didn't realize until today how greatly improved the game's graphics are--particularly with the zoom feature. Zoomed in about halfway the character sprites are an inch and a quarter in height on the screen and there's barely any pixilation. That amazes me. At least compared with what I'm used to.

It's been almost 5 years since I played BGT, and I had an even older monitor then. Don't recall what it's max native resolution was (it was a Viewsonic also). But there is just no comparison between what I am playing today and what was on my screen five years ago.

So thanks, Beamdog! You did a fantastic job. I'm truly thrilled with the graphics improvements.

And btw, Merry Christmas to all! Hope you're having a great day! :)

Couldn't agree with you more in what little of the game i've had time to play so far. It renders really well @ 1920 x 1080 on my monitor also. Funny we have the same company and size for our monitors lol. Samsung 27" here as well.
