Strange problem with Neera

I'm having a rather annoying problem with the way Neera moves in combat. I have her equipped with a sling and yet she always seems to move into melee range before attacking. Regardless of whether I manually order her to engage or the AI takes over she will path directly to the enemy she is going to attack and then only let fly when she is standing right next to them.

I have tried having her on the default script, no script/AI, a ranged script, everthing I can think of - to no avail. It really is quite annoying as she is constantly taking hits because she wont stay at range!

Has anyone else seen something similiar? I'm not sure whether this is a bug that hasnt been noted yet or whether there is something I can do to sort this out.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

    I've had this. When I see her moving wrong I pause and click attack button (sword icon) and then on the enemy. In my game this has worked to get her to attack ranged.

    Yeah she keeps doing that for me too! Right up close to bash someone in the face with a sling

    It's well known script bug, they will hopefully fix it soon.
    For now, just give her the Ranged script ;)

    I have tried giving her the ranged script and it doesnt seem to fix the issue. Having said that if its a wellknown and widespread problem I'm sure it will get solved somewhere down the line, that's good enough for me.

    Just give everyone standart script(not default) and there will be no problems. At least i havent encountered any after changing it.
