Why is there no link from the Main Baldursgate.com website?
I've been checking that page since release.
And today I stumble on a tweet that gets me to an old Beamdog forum that eventually on page 31. I repeat PAGE 31, says there are new forums for Baldur's Gate. Official Forums.
Yet I don't see any link on the Baldursgate.com website.
Can this be fixed for those that don't want to link-hop like I did and actually help fans get here?

    I heard from a little parrot, it's being kept under wraps from the public until they have the forums in a state acceptable for new applicants. I guess it's currently reserved for 'diehard' fans who were dedicated enough to find it alone. I don't necessarily agree.

    Seems unproductive to hide this place from people who may be very supportive (and rich). Wasting a lot of good publicity.

    Welcome to the forums Rosie.

    We're still awaiting official approval for the forum look from WotC. Until then we're in a limited test run.

    @Anton

    Ah there you go. I was sort of right, except WotC have decided that only diehard fans (and people who skip to P. 31 like me) are legally allowed to access the forums, atleast for now.

    If too many people see D&D artwork without the proper say so from WotC all hell will break loose!

    The WotsC in response:

    "The title "Baldur's Gate" isnt Underlined and the eyes of the skull are too redish, we do not approve"

    TOO REDDISH?

    Next they'll be saying there aren't enough flying elves or naked dryads in the background, or that it needs to be a lighter shade of teal.

    Naked dryads or sirens couldn't hurt. ;)

    Please don't. It's BG, an old school RPG, not a strip game -.-

    Some troll is disliking all my words. :P

    @Flauschig

    You can take the naked dryads and sirens away from the man but you can't take them out of the man!

    Wait... nevermind.

    Thank you for the information.
    It's as if someone doesn't actually want them to succeed.
    You'll also note that the last update on the website is from May 10th.

    I would suggest a link be placed on BaldursGate.com to these awesome new forums. If the community is what got BG this far, then it should be promoted as best as possible.

    Sometimes it has it, and sometimes it's the old one. Might be my cache or something silly.

    An older, identical discussion can be found here

    @Tanthalas might want to merge these.
