Game stopped working

I downloaded and installed the enhanced version and it worked fine. Now i am trying to play again but when i start the game up the screen is plain white (the baldurs gate music is playing though). Nothing happens when i wait or press any key.
I am unable to get past this white screen :(

    I have the same problem I played yesterday, today I can't get past the blank screen.

    This might be a driver issue. Follow the steps for your operating system on this page: http://www.beamdog.com/support/766

    If those steps don't solve your issue, send an email to support@beamdog.com and I'll take a closer look.

    White screen can usually be solved by finding "baldur.exe" in the 00766 folder and right clicking on it, and choose "Properties". On the compatibility tab, make sure that "Disable desktop composition" is checked.
