Do the Amulet of Protection and Ring of Protection stack?

Hi - I was wondering if it's worth buying the Amulet of Protection in Beregost, but all my characters that can use a Ring of Protection (i.e. they don't have magic armour) already have one, so there's only really any point in me buying it if it stacks with the a Ring of Protection, but I'm assuming not?

You can't wear them at the same time, so no unless you need to free up a ring slot.

The BG2 tweak mod has an option that lets you wear them both with only saving throw bonuses stacking, if that interests you- its balanced and makes more things useful.

Thanks, it *might* be useful for Dorn in my party, then, as he has the Claw of Kazgaroth on one ring slot, but he hasn't found another ring, other than a +1 protection one, that he needs yet on the other hand

Perhaps, that does sound more balanced that all effects stacking, at least

The primary virtue of the cloak, ring and amulet is slot versatility. Evermemory and a ring of Free Action and Baldy's Cloak leaves you with an amulet slot.

Sure, so the amulet is really only needed if you run out of other slots
