Unable to go from level 2 to 3 in the Nashkel mines

I'm playing thru the EE for the first time and enjoying it, but I'm on level 2 in the Nashkel mines where the door down to level 3 is supposed to be, but the icon to change areas doesn't appear. I'm playing on a PC with Windows 7.

Anybody having this problem or have a solution? Thx.

    Are you sure that is the right exit and not the dead end to the south? Try going up and to the right from that point and then straight down again and see if you get an exit there.
