Hi,

I'm have just started the game playing with a walkthrough, because I do not want to miss any quests.

It looks there should be a quest: Zhurlong's Boots.
OK on my first entrance to the Burning Wizard this guy run by, said something, stole some money and disappeared forever.
I never had a chance to talk with him, besides clicking End Dialog button the first time.
I have the boots, I went several times to the inn to return them, different times of the day but he is no longer there (I do not want to return them actually :).

Did anyone encountered this issue?

Thanks,
Ivan

    Or hides behind a corner?

Yeah some NPCs love to run around all over their respective building and hole up in nooks and crannies (I'm looking at you, Officer Vai). In case that's what's happening here I'd try pausing your game while in the Burning Wizard. With default Feedback settings, this will cause the circles around the feet of all NPCs to appear. This can make it easier to find him if his character is not visible.

As Minsc would say: Leave no crevice untouched.

    random side note

anybody had troubles finding that bloody cleric at the Temple in Friendly Arm Inn? she's a slippery one, should have probably been a thief

Gelanna Mirrorshade? Isn't she standing where she always stood, right in the middle of the temple, in front of the door where you enter?

She runs around everywhere inside that temple, and visual range is disturbingly short there.

I turned on the blue circles around all NPCs from the settings, but I see only the bartender and the two commoners on the table. Zhurlong is neither here or on the second floor.

Columns tend to affect viewable area, so that could be why the priest in the FAI is hard to find.

Have you looked around the corner in the back room to the right?

Actually walk all the way in there not just to the door where you think you can see in there.

Nothing in both rooms and on the second floor.
I double checked behind every wall with my cursor set to talk mode too.
I also checked nearby area outside and cast purge invisibility.
Now I even obtained a second pair of the same boots from Ulcaster.
Just applied Update 6 and no one there again.

This is either a bug or there is a case where the quest is not triggered because of some character reaction when you meet the guy for a first time.

I tried to do his quest as well with the extra pair of boots. He said something along the lines of me being a worthless deadbeat, stole some money, and exited the area, never to be found again. Maybe he requires a charisma check?

After I attacked him for his boots he ran outside. Maybe he's running around Beregost.

BTW if you *do* find him and give him his boots back, you need to be very quick if you wish to kill him to get the boots back (no rep loss), but it's certainly possible

Hi, I didn't play BGEE in a long time, and now i don't remember if I killed him or not.(I don't think but it's possible)
to confirme that, I wanted to know if when he dies, this update the quest book, because I still have the quest in my log, and the boots in my inventory, and I don't know if I killed him or he just desapeared.
    thanks.

Killing him currently won't update the journal. We're looking into that.

Hi all, first post for me.

First time playing the EE and I was also suprised as Zhurlong disappeared.
I confirm a Charisma check on this. My character with 8 Char talked to him and he disappeared. Viconia passed the check and got the quest, in this case Zhurlong stayed in the Inn too. Tried it with different NPCs and it seems you need at least 10 Charisma to get the quest.
