Durlag´s Tower framedrops

I can´t continue the game because of large framedrops in Durlag´s Tower area.

Current behavior: After I make any action in Durlag´s Tower area, the game starts stuttering rapidly. Reload helps, but only until I make another action.

    Ati Radeon HD 6790
    4 GB RAM

    I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 and while framedrops disappeared for now, there is still a little stuttering when leaving menu/inventory, etc...
