Simmeon doesn't appear.

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, did a search and couldn't find it. I've advanced Dorn's quest to this point, moved to what I think is the correct location (across the BG bridge, near Quayle, right?) and can't find him anywhere. I've search the entire map, as well as each adjacent map, and can't get him to show up. Any ideas?

    A scene should start as you go just north of Quayle and past the tree. If that's not happening then something is wrong. Have you tried reloading from an earlier save?

    Tried, but no luck with that. Whole area was empty except for Quayle and the guards.

    EDIT: Fixed it, for some reason I had to go inside Baldur's Gate and let Dorn have a conversation about not liking the city. Went outside, and Simmeon suddenly appeared. I guess one more dialog jogged the thing back to working normally.
