Can you up the speed of BG:EE?

So, back in the days of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's gate 2 and throne of ball, you could increase the ai updates / second up to 60 from 30, efectively doubleing the speed of the game. Which is how I always played it, the game just plays too slowly for me other wise. Is there a way to do this in EE? even if i had to mod the game to do it. Otherwise I think I'll pass on this remake and stick to the GOG ones.

    Put this in your baldur.ini:
'Program Options',	'Maximum Frame Rate',	'60',

I believe that if you have more than 45ish in 'Maximum Frame Rate', a lot of the scripted events will play out too fast ie you won't be able to hear/read all the dialogue etc.

Well maybe that depends on CPU performance or something. I read somewhere there could be problems and on my PC the scripted event when leaving Candle keep didn't work too well on 60. After dropping speed to 45 it was ok.

    \Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition

Make sure you've run the game at least once.

On a Windows 7 PC I have it here (default location):
    C:\Users\*user profile*\My Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\Baldur.ini

    Hope this helps :)
