Lucky abilityscore rolls

I just had one in a million chance I guess in abilityscore rolling. For I had 16 points in all abilities. I decided to make a Scald but I think I went the wrong way if you think about utilizing such a good roll as best as possible. So what was your best roll ever and how did you use it? This roll has been either the first time I had such a high number on so many scores or I have long forgotten such rolls.

    I think I recently threw a decent character. Something like 10str, 18dex, 16con, 18int, 14wis, 15cha.
No idea what I did with her. I think she was my first Crone for the black pits, and I ended up deleting her because I didn't like how I'd done her allies.

You could always adjust the points allocation in Shadowkeep afterwards if you think you allocated the ability points badly. As long as you don't change the amount of total points you originally got and allocated within class/race restrictions I don't think this could be considered cheating.

For my current CHARNAME (a neutral evil elf-fighter/mage), I managed to get the following roll (after allocating) on my 3rd roll (of 10 - I set a limit):

    18/18/17/18/6/8

Oh yes, Truthfully. I did allocate the stats to better suit the character afterwards. The character was Human Skald with 18/16/16/18/10/18 He uses a Two handed sword.

Rolled an elven archer yesterday without a single reroll - stats after adjustment were:
    18/90 - 19 - 17 - 12- 14 - 8

Elven rangers are the easiest class to get good rolls for, due to the minimum stats

I would've allocated a Skald with those stats like this:

    18/18/16*/18/10/16

Dex is more important than Cha

    * this could even be a 15, as you can obtain the Con tome early on, in which case you could go 17 Cha still, which would become 18 with the tome.

As a arcane caster you can cast friends to get +6 Cha, which even with the minimum 15 Cha would give you the max discount on shop prices. Also you can get the Charisma tome quite early on, and also + 2 Cha from Algernon's Cloak giving you high Cha even without the Friends spell...

*If you don't want to run to the lighthouse at level 1 to get the constitution tome, 16 at the beginning may be better. Charisma is not that important.

Does the con bonus stick on level up? I thought your HP changed as your con bonus changed meaning when you got to 16 con wouldn't matter.

If your Con increases (e.g. due to the Tome and/or Buckley's Buckler) any HP bonus is applied retrospectively for all your levels where it should apply immediately, so it doesn't really matter when you pick it up (apart from having one or two extra HP early on). For Gnomes, Halflings and Dwarves (who, of course, can't be Bards), if the Con increased would give a bonus to saves (e.g. if moving from Con 17 to 18) , this save bonus is only applied when you next level up, though.

Well, 1 or 2 HP at this point of the game may matter more than discount.

Well, (assuming you have the cash) you can always buy the +1 Buckley's Buckler in the meantime, which adds +1 Con...

Also, once you can cast Level 1 spells and can find and scribe the Find Familiar scroll (after Nashkel Mines), that's another 12 HP :-)

Ah, interesting. Thanks on feedback. I knew I could've utilized the roll better somehow. Edit: (10seconds later) Shadowkeep? I don't remember anything like that. Is that a mod or part of Enhanced edition I haven't noticed?

BTW You might want to glug a potion of genius before trying to scribe the Find Familiar scroll BTW, I think I only encountered one (maybe two) in BGEE and it would be annoying to fail to scribe it (assuming on core rules or above)
