Recruit Khalid, Jaheira, Dorn in Chapter 3

In my current gameplay, I did not visit Friendly Arm Inn, until I had completed the Nashkel Mines quest and entered chapter 3. The reason was that I wanted to get Xan as soon as possible. Now, when I enter the Friendly Arm Inn, Khalid+Jaheira and Dorn are not there. I don't really care, since I don't want them in my party, but I was surprised not to find them there. Is this normal?

    Khalid and Jaheira will leave if you don't talk to them by Chapter 2. As for Dorn, if you're playing on an iPad, you need to purchase him as DLC.

    No, I am playing on PC. Dorn is not in FAI and I haven't met him in my way to Nashkel mines (in the encounter where you can recruit him).

    Normally, you speak to Dorn in FAI (before chapter 3) and later you meet him on your way to Nashkel Mines. What if you never speak to him before chapter 3? Does he vanish?

    Yeah, I have indeed heard others report that if you do not talk to Dorn before leaving for the mines he will leave.

    So, in order to get Dorn in your party, you have to talk to him in FAI, where he will be very rude to you. Then, on your way to Nashkel MInes, he will come back crying to you, asking to join you.
    Well, a half-orc that was rude to me, will never have the joy of joining my party... Good luck on your own half-orc.
