Druid question

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
I tried out the avenger and I did not care of him (I got to level 7). The forms were not that useful to me (even spider). My own warriors killed things faster.
I was wondering about the totemic druid. I love the idea of a pet class (closest thing for the druid). My question is at high levels can he get the earth and fire shape? I know the disadvantage of the kit is lost of shapeshifting but I didn't know about the high level ability.

    No, I think not. You get only spells. And that pets are not so powerful. Minsc is much better pet :)

    For the BG1 campaign the summons for Totemic Druid are quite powerful. He can't shapeshift at all, but that's not a very huge loss if you ask me. Although it sounds awesome to turn into a badass sword spider or werewolf (with Shapeshifter Kit) it just isn't that useful.

    Yes, for BG1 they are. But, because he asked about Earth and Fire shape which are high lvl, I supose he asked about BG2

    I have seen some websites say they can have those hla (fire/earth). Thanks!
