spirit animal help

Ok new to playing a totemic druid.. I am lvl 2 when i cast my skill for my spirit animal it goes off and says i summoned a spirit animal but outside of the casting effects nothing happens and i do not see an pet anywhere. Am i missing something?

never mind finally found the answer

    After you use the ability, four icons should appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to choose which animal you get.

    ya someone how i missed seeing that..worse i somehow did a few bad searches to find the answer and it was only after i started the thread i found the info

    mine does something similar. if i initiate the ability then click on another character then return to the totemic druid to pick the animal, the ability is wasted.

    thats what i was doing and so never would see the menue
