Some Clarity Questions

Ok just so I'm clear on something, Which ranged weapons in BG1 (both Vanilla and EE) and BG2 get to use the characters STR modifier to enhance their damage?

For example, does the dwarven thrower in BG2 get to use the +2 str damage bonus from 18 str? If so, what about To-Hit modifiers. Does it then use str for that? Or, since its ranged, does it use dex?

Thanks in advance for any clarity.

Throwing axes, throwing daggers, and slings get to use Strength for damage in BGEE. They still use Dexterity for THAC0.

Those are the only weapons that receive this bonus.

@Aosaw Thank you for the info. Any idea if the dwarven thrower from BG2 gets the str bonus?

In BG2 vanilla only Throwing Axes and one magic sling currently get the Strength bonus damage, though it's possible this may change in BG2EE (I hope so!). I don't know about the Dwarven Throwing hammer, though it would make sense for it to, though obviously only Dwarves can use it (unless you have UAI - would be a nice item for Skald)
