    Trent and the team are still in negotiations with Atari, but in the mean-time you can still add the game to your Steam library and launch it from there. Follow these steps:

    1) In the Steam browser window, select the "View" drop-down, and choose "Games List".
    2) At the bottom left corner of the window, click "Add Game", and select "Add a Non-Steam Game"
    3) Select Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition from the list, and click "Add Selected Programs" (it should show up automatically)

    And that's it; the game will launch normally just like any other Steam game, and you can still run it offline if your internet goes out (by running baldur.exe).

    Try this instead.

    I hope they do. It will be a severe violation of my trust; I simply don't see myself supporting this franchise again otherwise. I prepurchased believing it would be a Beamdog or site download exclusive, and now it's on Steam where it could have been open to prepurchase months ago when I was buying? My good faith should be reciprocated in full.

    There are already threads about it. There's no need for more to discuss the same matter...

    Maybe you should worry about some glasses first. ;) There are already more than 3 topics about this on this page.

    You realize Steam takes 30% of every game sale as their cut, right?

    So basically you are saying they owe you for only wanting to give them 14 dollars instead of 19.99.

    @WoodsieLord
    What a pile of shit.

    If you have an issue you need to take it up with Atari and/or Steam. They are the ONLY two parties who have brought BGEE to Steam. Beamdog was not a part of this process.

    Good luck with that though. I don't see either of those corporations giving you something for nothing.

    Anyway, so maybe that means it's been the real agenda of Atari all along?;p

    There are a fair few threads on this topic already, so I'm going to close this one. But briefly:

    We hope to be able to give Steam keys to everyone who purchases the game from Beamdog, but it depends on the negotiations Trent has with Atari, who controls digital distribution for the game.
