How to even utilize Custom Portraits?

in New Players (NO SPOILERS!)
Right. I'm not seeing the "Custom" button for portraits anywhere, in character generation or in customization once you're actually in the game. Just me?

    Hm, it's working for me. The button won't show up unless you have portraits in your Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\Portraits folder. (You have to make the folder yourself if you don't have one.)

    Ahh okay, that helps. There isn't a Portraits folder there, but there IS in the game files, so I put it there instead ... kind of misleading. Alright I will try that, should help my problem. Thanks Jalily! :)
