Trouble installing

Alright, I just heard about the enhanced edition and tried to download it from amazon. Everything went smoothly, but when I tried to install it an error message popped up saying "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel." I have been looking through various discussions and none are helping so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Do you know what the file extension is of the file you are clicking on to install the game from?

    Your first mistake was downloading it from Amazon. Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition is currently only available from Beamdog.com and Steam (for PC) and from the iTunes App store (for iPad).

    Ya beamdog was the first thing I found but when I saw amazon had it I thought it would be safer, after I downloaded it I found out that the download originated from beamdog
