Amaunator avatar doesn't always award quest XP

This is part of the Unseeing Eye quest.
In the Temple of the forgotten city, once you destroy the beast, an avatar of Amaunator appears. He greets you with:
"Whoooooooo walks in the temple of I? Speak of yourself; you are almost beyond the sight of I."
If you answer with the first reply, "I could say the same of you. Are you the chief resident of this temple?", you are awarded about 27K xp. If you select any of the other two options, you are not awarded any XP. This seems illogical as there's nothing obviously special about the first reply.
This behavior is with ToB installed and the latest G3 Fixpack.
OBSERVED: in the initial dialogue with the Avatar in area AR0203, only the first response grants quest XP.
EXPECTED: all three replies grant quest XP.
Can anyone confirm that this behavior is indeed a bug? @Avenger_teambg
