Alright, help me pick who gets to stay in my new party. (I think I want Baeloth)

Current Party:

PC, Guts, Level 10 Berserker - Chaotic Neutral (Just escaped The Black Pits)
Imoen (Dualed to Mage at Level 6)
Neera
Jaheria (Khalid is taking a nap...a stone nap)
Viconia (Whom I was planning to give the Helm of Alignment Change to)

Contenders for the sixth spot:

Minsc (I just helped him rescue Dhyaneir and kicked them both out)
Rassad
Baeloth

Orrrrr...for a twist...possibly Shar-Teel?

I don't know...I know it's mage heavy but I'm having fun with this run. I almost took Edwin over Neera but I figured she was Chaotic Neutral too / it was a better fit.

    I'd say Rasaad. Most interesting for your party.

    Are you trying to stick to neutral over evil? If so, no Baeloth, no Shar-Teel. Both are chaotic evil. It's caster heavy, so I would probably not add Baeloth anyway - though he's surprisingly survivable in melee compared to the mages.

    I'd also say Rasaad, for the sake of banters and his quest, and not clashing with a good/neutral party.

    @Kid Carnival - I'm the kind of Chaotic Neutral who will take on any challenge. Or do any task for enough money. But if you offend me I'm gone.

    Also My Character beat the Black Pits, I thought there'd be maybe some fun in having Baeloth around after defeating him.

    Does Baeloth have no quests? If so I'll go with Rassad. I smuggled the Gauntlets of Crushing in my inventory when I exported my Character. =P

    I'm running Baeloth at the moment as sole arcane caster and he's doing really well. His Sorcerer cast anything anytime mechanic means very little downtime and his spell selection is pretty solid.

    As far as I can tell though, no bonus quests and not a huge amount of post-joining banter.

    @Debaser: So far, I had 2 occassions where he had something to say, but they weren't interactions with anyone, NPC or charname, just statements. Still waiting if there's something else to come, and running a Black Pits-levelled female thief/mage half elf in another game to see if he's romancable. Doesn't look that way, but I had to try after his initial banter with Edwin. It seemed strangely worded that Edwin says "you're maybe the best spellcaster in your bed" of all things, and Baeloth pointed out that he's popular with spellcasting women. So yeah, made a spellcasting woman to see how popular, but so far, everyone involved is rather unimpressed by the other.

    I'd say go with Rasaad, with him, you can be sure to get a quest and conversations.
