Larswood encounter question *spoilers*

Hello, I've recently started a new playthrough as my previous two playthroughs were passed chapter 3 and ran into problems getting the Baeloth encounter to trigger. My question is: on a new game do u have to get to level 5 and do the encounter before chapter 3 in order to trigger? Or was that just for previous save games before the patch?

    It doesn't matter what chapter you're in - your PC needs to be level 5 to trigger the encounter. :)

    Cool. I ask because I read somewhere that some flag from the bandit storyline could interfere with his triggering if your save was already passed chapter 3

    It's a bug, but the next patch will supposedly take care of that and there's a workaround somewhere on these very forums. :)
