Minsc, live from Nashkel

Something strange happened a few days ago when playing baldur's gate that has been on my mind for a while, and it recently occurred to me that maybe I should post it. I'm writing this from memory and there's a bit of backstory, though.
On my most recent run, after reaching level 4/4/5 on my fighter/mage/cleric, I took a trip to Larswood to pick up Mr. Spoiler. Unfortunately, I couldn't get him to spawn. I tried some fixes that have been posted and got nothing. Repaired my installation, but nothing was wrong with it. So, I started a new game, CLUA'd my character to level cap (boosting all joinable NPCs to level 6) and took off to see if I could get him. I heard he had interactions with certain NPCs (namely Neera, Dorn (who didn't actually have any interactions that I found), Edwin and Viconia), so I went to pick them up first. Picked up Neera in beregost, picked up Edwin in Nashkel, and to make sure he had no complaints I went and killed Dynaheir. Poor Minsc will wait forever in Nashkel, never knowing her fate. Or so I thought.
I then went for Dorn next. I thought I'd pick him up while travelling to Nashkel mines. He didn't show, so I wandered around a bit, then did some reading and found that I had to talk to him in the Friendly Arm Inn first. Bah!
So I travelled to the Friendly Arm Inn, ran into the-

I didn't stick around to see how it ended. As soon as I talked to Dorn, I travelled out to the Nashkel Mines, and when I left fast travel, the live feed had ended.
So, apparently, your current location and it's sub-locations aren't the only areas tracked in real-time.

For me, it would actually make the game a lot more interesting if Minsc loses it once in a while and erupts into a 'zerker Rage as an intended/scripted thing for the character. The same sort of indiscriminate and uncontrolled rage he enters when you use his special ability. Of course you could cast spells on him to neutralize it, eg, put him to Sleep, Blind him, use Hold Person on him, use a wand of paralyzation, etc.
As to the rate of frequency I would want him to have such episodes... Maybe about 5% of the time? (The same rate of occurrence as wild surges feels about right.)
In this scenario there's a risk that he might kill an innocent before you can stop him, forcing the party to donate at a temple. Or live with the lower rep.
Anyway, I would welcome that. That'd be a nifty mod, I think.
