*minor spolier* What happens if Gorax does not die?

So my ghoulish friend Gorax got killed!

What would of happened if he didn't die? I imagine he can't follow you out of the map.

    IIRC, he attacks you the first time you try to rest. If you leave the map, he just stays there.

    If you look closely when he joins you, you can see the message "Dire Charmed" in the combat log. If he survives your travels around the map (or you stand still long enough) the charm will sadly wear off, and he will turn on you like a regular ghoul/ghast.

    A more "in universe" explanation is that he gets hungry over time and will eventually try to eat you.

    Fair enough. I used him well anyway. Tanked the polymorphers very effectively.

    I always leave the map and pretend that he goes of to further adventures.

    A ghoul really doesn't have a mind so its strange how it can get charmed.
    Just like you can't FEAR undead.

    His real story is told by some villager around the sword coast! Don't remember who...
