Leather armor appearance???

Just got nostalgic and went to check some photos of valygar and noticed the leather armor looks different then in BGEE even though the other armors are bg2 style? Any idea why??

BG: EE utilizes the 1PP mod, and therefore contains art assets from the original Baldur's Gate.

But not the art for plate armor?

The inventory icon for plate armor in BG:EE is the same as it is in vanilla BG. I think that's what you're talking about.

I was referring to the actual avatar. Just don't understand how plate mail avatars are BGII while leather armor avatars are BG original.

Do you mean the character sprites, or the paper dolls in the inventory screen?

Sprites (I think). I'm referring to what you see as you wonder aimlessly through the sword coast. Not the inventory screen. Thanks

For the most part I vastly prefer the BG 1 avatars but unfortunately they don't have all the animations for dual wielding and such (AFAIK).

The BG II paper dolls were horrid and preferred the BG 1 paper dolls until BGEE. I love the BGEE paper dolls

As far as I can tell, the appearance of leather armor in BG:EE is different than it was in either BG2 or BG1.

BG2 paperdolls (your character model seen in inventory) were ugly and did not resemble the in-game character sprites much.

BG:EE uses One pixel productions mod, and is very beautiful and polished. They look like in-game character sprites exactly, and they support a lot of enhancements, like flaming swords, colored magical quarterstaves, less pixeled weapon sprites on paperdoll, shiny chain mail effect, no ugly puffy looking leather armor shoulderpads, hooded unarmored thieves-bards, bards with chain mail (cool!), really the enchantments are numerous and of top-quality.
