BG II feeling choppy

Hey folks, I recently booted up the GoG version of BG II with the widescreen mod (hadn't touched it in a while) to test out importing a BG EE character and I found it to feel off and the cursor felt choppy. Is this due to BG EE's engine refinement? Or can I mess around with the settings to alleviate some of this?

    Check for the ambient sound being turned way down. For some reason that thing always made my BG1 and BG2 games run slow.

    Ya, the mouse movement doesn't feel as smoothe as in EE. Probably uses slower polling. Do you get a lot of flickering when you're scrolling around? When I'm moving the camera there's a lot of flickering going on. I'm pretty much running the same as you, GOG BG2 with wide screen mod. Think I'll install that mod that makes the fonts larger, though.
