Evil ranged fighter?

I recently rolled probably my best character ever. Elven fighter/thief/mage with 96 stats and /00 strength.
I am quite sure, that together with my friend (dwarven fighter/cleric, 92 stats, /00 strenght) we can handle almost everything from (BG:EE to Throne of Bhaal) but none of us is capable of ranged damage (well, I am, but i never liked the idea of charname Legolas, if I wanted archer, I'd play archer).
I'd like to keep my party as small as possible and I'm thinking about Shar-Teel. Could she be decent archer? Her stats aren't bad, but her proficiencies are kinda messed up.
Who in your opinion could be great evil archer?

    A nice choice would be Dorn with daggers. 2apr (same as bows), and throwing daggers benefit from str bonus, so he does a ton of damage that way. no bonus 1/2 attack for specializing in ranged weapons as of 1012, so he'll gain a ton of utility from just a single dagger prof. His STR also minimizes the hassle of carrying sufficient daggers around..

    Shar-Teel is a fine choice if you grab her early, but as you note, her profs are sub-optimal.

    Shar-Teel's excellent strength and dexterity make her a viable option as an archer, however her proficiencies really limit her potential. If you're willing to modify her proficiencies with a character editor, or, more legitimately, level her up and devoting proficiencies solely to bows, then she is more than capable at a distance.

    Surprisingly Dorn makes a reasonable archer as well. Though his dexterity isn't as high as Shar-Teels he more than makes up for it with his Poison Weapon ability; an already powerful ability complimented by the high APR of bow type weapons.

    For both characters however, to attain respectable skill with the bow they must abandon their melee potential. Still, their stats/abilities are fine for ranged combat and their constitution limits their tanking ability anyways. With all that said, feel free to specialize them in ranged combat, but don't expect stellar results.

    Shar-Teel is proficient with daggers. With her strength and dex, she can use throwing daggers until you can give her better proficiencies. She's also not bad with bows.

    you need only one point to make her viable, then put on mastery gloves with a composite longbow and she could wreck havoc.

    Thanks a lot. Definitely worth trying. :)

    @DarkDogg
    I like Monty & Xzar (especially Xzar) but there's not enough room for another chaotic mage. And I really, really like him so killing him isn't option. :-D

    If I'm not taking Monty and/or Xzar along, I store them in the small tavern in Nashkel. There's no reason to enter it twice and he/they can continue their investigation after I safely escorted them to their destination. And outside, I pile up dead bodies for Xzar to necromance around with. :)

    :) I like that plan. You're talking about the tavern with Volo in, right?

    @Eudaemonium - Yep, and outside is a barrel that can be used to store stuff. Such a lovely place. I drop "accidentally expired" NPCs outside the barn. Everything in one place.
