More dialog options dependent on stats/skills.

I loved it in IWD2 and Planescape. It would be nice to see it also in BG (it gives you customized game experience and a different experience when you play for example a thief and a mage).

Would be awesome, but it's kinda like rewriting the whole game, adding several more layers of dialogue - and different outcomes to conversations/quests.. ain't gonna happen for BG:EE. But I love the idea.

It could happen for quests X & Y though. They're not rewriting old content but do have a degree of freedom for new material.

Some high/low charisma or intelligence/wisdom options are always fun, as in PS:T

where a low wis. Nameless one can opt for a fairly lethal kiss.

    (end spoilers)

So yeah, seconded. Dialogue stat checks for new content!

This I heavily agree with. Stats like intelligence really could use more work as picking pre-written lines has a way of nullifying your character's wits in conversation. Also have other NPCs react to high/low stats a bit more.

Since this is just about writing and doesn't require a lot of technical work, it also seems quite doable.

I missed that! Reminds me of Odysseus strapping himself to the mast to hear the Siren's song. Did he have a story to tell when recovered?

But yeah, thumbs up on the OP.

Absolutely support this. It was already mentioned in a thread about giving more importance for charisma. We wouldn't even necessarily need so much rewriting. Some current dialogue options could be allowed only with stat checks. Or they could give some minor plus infos with stat checks.

Only did it once, can't remember the outcome in detail ;)

I usually went high-wisdom in PS:T for loads of the dialogues and the hefty XP bonus.

The Stat dependent aspect of PS:T really encouraged multiple playthroughs and truly made a very similar character seem utterly different on a second go around. This addition would be fantastic, even if it only showed up in the newer material.

Love the idea, definitely support this. Unfortunately, this will almost definitely not happen, I considered suggesting it a few times but it just doesn't seem possible. Also, the fact that it won't happen means it probably also won't happen in the new areas since that would create a seriously notable difference between the old and new parts of the game. If it were possible, I'd be all for it.

+1,it's simply not realistic that a power-player's character that has attributes like 19/18/18/17/3/3 speaks in a similar manner with a 18 wisdom cleric or a 18 intelect mage, oh and remove ring of human influence! or change it to a +2 cha or something.
