Multi-Class & New Guy

Hello,

I poked around but couldn't find an answer to this. You can only get the new character if you're level 5, but how does that work if you're multi-class? Does one of your classes need to be level 5?

I'm torn between a figher/thief and bounty hunter for my evil party playthrough, and this seems like a reasonable tie-breaker. Don't want to wait forever to get my full party together and want the new guy in it.

Thanks!

I *believe* that one of the classes has to be level 5, meaning it will take you approximately twice the XP to get Mr Spoiler with the F/T as with the Bounty Hunter. I *might* be wrong, though.

Perhaps someone could post a Feature Request to change this behaviour.

After all the initial level of all the new NPCs (except Mr. Spoiler) is based on XP rather than CHARNAME level (as opposed to the vanilla NPCs which initial level is based on CHARNAME level instead).

Hmmm, that's a shame, and thanks for the confirmation everyone.

Looks like my evil all stars party of Dorn, Kagain, Viconia, Edwin, Baeloth will have a halfling bounty hunter doing the sneaky work.

Given that party composition one final question remains:

Can true love exist between a 7 foot tall Half Orc and a 3 foot tall Halfling? Only time will tell...

One of you classes has to be level 5? What if you play Triple-Classed? This mechanic is stupid, I'm sorry. NPC acquisition should be based on EXP gained, not level.

It also means that rogues and druids only need like half the xp needed to pick up NPCs at their highest level, compared to some other classes.

He's an easter egg, not a full blown NPC like the others. I think we should stop complaining about all that is "wrong" with Baeloth (no quest, no banters, not recruitable at low level, evil aligned) and be happy we got a fun character for free.
