Cannot switch or unequip weapon

Hey guys,
I ran into the problem that my main character has one weapon eqipped he can't unewuip or use anymore. whenever I do it sais magig weapon in use. it s the staff spear +2 i've been usin all the time. it s not a curse. I tried removin that. The weapon is equipped but I can't use it to fight nore can I use a different one. anyone any ideas?
