"Infinite" dungeon

Just like in Lufia 2, you get back to lvl 1 with no equip and you try to make it to the end with a epic boss at the end (a huge slime that run after 4 turns does not count as epic boss ;)).

If you want a dungeon with infinite enemies try firewine bridge ;)

I dunno about about an "infinite" dungeon, but I would love a Heart of Fury mode like they had in IWD.

I don't know how feasible that is, though, since the character must carry through to BG2 - and Heart of Fury mode was meant basically as a second playthrough at a higher level and difficulty.

Well in Lufia 2 monster difficulty scale on 99 floors, you find blue chest which are items you can keep on you if you go out and come back in. At floor 20 or so you get an item to port out if things get too hard so you can try again with the new items you got in the blue chests. I think it would add a lot to the game if you use it as end game content

@ Xasil, I think you have a good idea going there, it would be great for multiplayer and testing tactics, spells and combinations.

I think what you're actually asking for is a mode that sets your characters levels back to level one and strips them of gear and (in this case mage) spells while in the dungeon.

I'm not sure a D&D setting is well suited to the concept of a randomized dungeon, especially when you consider compared to JRPGs, leveling is a lot slower and more meaningful.

Level would'nt make a huge difference. Maybe for your hp total but gear and consumable items are the key to survive.

I know it would be pretty hard to make hard to work in BG1 but I think it would be really nice. That dungeon in Lufia 2 was one of my favorite side quest in any RPG I played and did'nt see it in any other RPG :( Maybe I'm the only one that loved it lol

In ancient history, Curse of the Azure Bonds had random, or at least endless-seeming, dungeons.

Curse of the azura bonds is a game i´ve played through many times and every dungeon had a purpose as far as i remember... But sure there are some very long and difficult levels to manage.

Not really...most towns had a pointless dungeon on the outskirts.

I might give it another go then just to do some pointless dungeon crawling:D

The only thing I remember about those dungeons is fighting dracoliches. Good luck!
