How long does Rasaad need to be in your party before his quest can be started?

So far ive had him in the party for 18 in game days, ive had two conversations about his past after picking him up yet the monks still wont spawn in docks area of baldurs gate, am i missing something i need to do? Its becomign very furstrating as I dont intend him to be a party member in this playthrough and just want to do his quest, thanks.

    Side note my charector is level 7 right next to 8 and rasaad is level 6 so I dont think that would be the problem.

    K of course now i started this thread the quest started... disreguard and/or close this thread thanks.

    Might be useful to others who may one day search the forum for this subject, so we can leave it open. :)

    Make sure to speak with Rasaad about his past when he initiates dialogue with the main character. In the BG city docks map (BG South) you'll be accosted by Dark Moon monks, and that encounter initiates his quest.
